Cymbidium features some of the most lasting orchid blooms, due to its heavy, waxy petals. And because its blossoms are larger than most, they are perfect arranged individually in bud vases. Isabella likes to adorn each place setting at dinner parties with a single bloom placed atop each napkin or arrange them on her vintage Limoge cake stand to take advantage of Cymbidium’s delightful fragrance. The loose stems measuring 2.5 to 3.5 inches apiece. Use them as individual blooms or combine two or three on a bud vase, and let your senses and imagination soar.
